Accountable Care Implementation Group
Purpose: Share best practices to address how system redesign and payment reform can improve care and value; develop a payment model/s that change current incentives for volume to support high value care
Participants: Provider, plan, and employer member representatives interested in payment reform and system redesign initiatives overall or as they relate to reimbursement, process improvement, and/or communications
Meets: 5 times per year

Medication Spotlight Workgroup
Purpose: Oversees the design and scoring of the Medication Spotlight Survey and the process of administering the annual Medication Spotlight Survey to all Maine hospitals
Participants: Pharmacists, nurses and quality experts from MHMC’s member hospitals
Meets*: Regularly

MHMC Foundation Board
Purpose: Handles the day-to-day affairs of MHMC Foundation, including the PTE initiatives
Participants: Executive Committee members, plus two non-members
Meets*: Monthly

Pathways to Excellence – Systems Steering Committee
Purpose: Measures and reports population health, system performance, cost, and utilization.
Participants: 15 (6 purchasers, 6 providers, 1 plan, 2 consumers) voting members appointed by the Foundation Board. All members are welcome
Meets*: 5 times per year

Pathways to Excellence – Physicians Initiative
Purpose: Measures and reports on the quality and value of healthcare in Maine at the adult and pediatric primary care level, as well as select specialties
Participants: Providers, employer representatives including HR directors, benefits administrators, physician practice leaders, PHOs, hospital quality improvement directors, health plan medical directors, other engaged personnel
Meets*: 5 times per year
