          Public Policy Committee


Purpose:  Evaluates and votes on MHMC taking public policy positions on any relevant yet non-controversial items on a state or national level, and to determine what that position will be.

Participants:  A subset of Board members elected by the Board.

Meets*:  Monthly, but possibly more when the Legislature is in session.


           Board of Directors


Purpose:  Amends by-laws; establishes committees and appoints members of the Board to serve on those committees; establishes overall goals and objectives and oversees the actions of the Executive Committee.

Participants Include:  Each member organization has one designated Board seat.  Typical participants include the most senior members and their staff, as relevant to the program.

Meets*:  Quarterly


           Health Action Collaborative

Purpose:
  Addresses how payment reform can improve care and value; works to develop a payment model/s that change current incentives for volume to support high value care.     

Participants Include:  Member representatives interested in payment reform initiatives.

Meets*:  Quarterly


           Employee Activation Users Group

Purpose:  Helps generate, share, and revise ideas, create implementation plans, and participate in material development for educating member employees and their dependents about quality healthcare.

Participants:  HR, Benefits Managers, Wellness Managers, and others actively involved in consumer engagement or employee communications.

Meets*:  Monthly


           Executive Committee

Purpose:  Handles the day-to-day affairs of MHMC and carries out the policies of the Board.

Participants:
  A subset of Board members elected by the Board.

Meets*:
  Monthly
