Pathways to Excellence – Systems Steering Committee

Purpose:   Measures and reports on the performance of Maine hospitals in the areas of patient experience, patient safety, and select clinical quality.

Participants:  A subset of Board members elected by the Board.

Meets*:  Monthly


          Pathways to Excellence – Physicians Initiative

Purpose:  Measures, reports, and improves the quality and value of healthcare in Maine at the adult and pediatric primary care level, as well as select specialties.

Participants:  Employer representatives including HR directors, benefits administrators; physician practice leaders; PHOs; hospital quality improvement directors; health plan medical directors; other engaged personnel.    

Meets*:  5 times per year.


          Medication Spotlight Workgroup

Purpose:  Oversees the process of administering the annual Medication Spotlight survey to all Maine hospitals.

Participants:  Pharmacists, nurses and quality experts from MHMC's member hospitals.    

Meets*:  Regularly.


          MHMC Foundation Board

Purpose:  Handles the day-to-day affairs of MHMC Foundation, including the PTE initiatives.

Participants:  Executive Committee members, plus two non-members.

Meets*:  Monthly
