What is the Maine Health Management Coalition? The Maine Health Management Coalition is a non-profit organization whose over 50 members include public, private and non-profit employers, hospitals, health plans and doctors. Members motivate market-driven improvements in quality and efficiency through the use of multistakeholder-endorsed, comparative performance information by employers & employees to make informed healthcare choices and decisions. Why can I trust the data from MHMC? People can trust the data from MHMC because it is agreed upon by all stakeholders – employers, doctors, hospitals and insurers. Is MHMC politically affiliated? The Board voted in March 2009 to form a Public Policy Committee. The purpose of this committee is to evaluate and vote on MHMC taking public policy positions on any relevant yet non-controversial items on a state or national level, and to determine what that position will be.
