"Health care quality improvement work in Maine is impressive. While there is still much to be done everywhere, if every state were as far along as Maine, we'd all be in a much better position."

March 26th, 2012
Harraseeket Inn, Freeport, ME
7:30 am - 9:30 am

Join Paul Dennett, Senior Vice President for Health Care Reform at the American Benefits Council, and your fellow MHMC members at the Harraseeket Inn on March 26th for a Food for Thought Breakfast Session on the implications of health care reform for employer-sponsored health coverage! The session will provide an update on the latest developments in the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, including the constitutional challenges to the new law which will soon be considered by the US Supreme Court.  You'll also find out how health care reform could change the role of employers in the future as the primary sponsors and purchasers of health coverage.

What Participants Can Expect to Get Out of the Presentation:

1. A clearer understanding of where we now stand along the implementation timeline for health care reform and the political, regulatory and judicial decisions that could significantly affect this landmark new law in the year ahead.

2. A consideration of the options and possible responses by employers to the changes in our health care system over the next several years.
